Early in the season I get a kick out of watching the really horrible talent embarrass themselves. But it's not the same without Simon's brutal, but clever, honestly.

i have prayed for the demise of this show sence day one.

Australian idol finished in 09, thank god, but for some odd reason we still get American idol. I see ad's for it on TV all the time, never, ever watched it though. Goes to show how much American TV we get. Heck, on pay TV we even get American news.
Back on topic, I feel those types of shows occupy the lives of people who eat whatever the media gives them. In some ways its good, in some ways its bad.

But in all seriousness, the colour of your turds should probably be even MORE signigicant then AI. After all, if they come out blue you might want to go see a doctor.

My wife watches the whole series, I can't stand it past the auditions. I can't get my wife to trim my toe nails, go figure .

Hopefully, any show which is predominantly irritating commercials, briefly interrupted by various levels of on and off stage egotists, will not survive.

As always, this is merely IMO where YMMV.

While there have been humorous moments with really bad singers, the whole thing is just plain irritating. How many of you out there are genuinely talented and can't catch a break? To see marginally talented people being showcased just bothers me.

While watching such "talent" (and I'm not just referring to AI either) I've oftentimes said to myself, "Self", I says, "And I have to work for a living." No, no one ever said life is fair.
