Answer the question which you have point blank refused to answer: Do you think it's acceptable for someone to condemn a whole group of people with an all encompassing statement like that?

Anyway i'd like you to apologise for backing up someone who holds views like that and i'd like him to own up and admit it was wrong what he said.

No!

I will not retract or apologize for my statement. You don't live in the United States let alone Texas and our cultures are thousands of miles apart. If you lived where I live and your poor, it's because you chose to be poor.

I think were just on different pages and you don't understand the opportunity's available here in the States and I don't understand the hardships yall have over there. I guess there is no right or wrong with this debate, it's a matter of ambition that I speak of.

Where I live, if your poor and willing to take it the extra mile, you can do anything you want. If your still poor, you took that fork in the road all by yourself. And yes, I am a right winged conservative if that's where your trying to lead me.

I'm afraid that's BS my friend. They don't choose to be poor. Some don't have the intelligence or physical ability to be successful. Some are widows and orphans. Some are disabled veterans. There are any number of honorable reasons to be poor. If you don't care, that's your business. This right wing propaganda is not honorable. Your choice.

 I missed that the first read through ahahahahah. But honestly I grew up DIRT poor. Father worked 2 under the table jobs while my mother tended to us and the animals. My birthday gift every year was a cheese cake and that was the only time they could even afford to get me anything I, when I turned 12 I started bailing hay every day after work and I saved every penny. Then I tuyned18 and put myself through junior college
And now I work in a nice engineering lab. I dug out of poor and then helped my father start his own plumbing service. So I also have no sympathy for the poor they can't fix it like I did then keep trying or get out the way.

Hee-hee - anyone remember that sitcom in the eighties, Soap? I'm hearing the title music from that in my head at the moment.

Ah well, at least we managed to spend a couple of pages talking about Eric Clapton on a 14 page thread supposedly about Eric Clapton. The camera stuff was fun too.

Where will this thread go from here? Toon in tomorrow...Image

Cheers - C

^^^ Moronic there's no other way of describing it. Human beings are supposed to have a set of higher ideals and not behave with the barbarity of animals. You obviously don't see it that way. Humans are also supposed to have empathy for others a quality that even some animals have.

So was it the modernised natural selection when the nazi's conquered all of Europe and tried to kill a whole race of people? Going by your idiotic viewpoint it must have been because at that point they were the strongest.

As i said before there are some great people on this forum who are humanitarians and decent, but there are some real low life slugs as well. When you find out through threads like this that they usually come from the hard right of politics it comes as no surprise.

BTW the above criticism puts to bed the lie that was propogated by BMW-KTM that i was only attacking Hou-Tex. I will fight against anyone and criticise anyone who spouts those views.

 people have different opinions, I THINK its "moronic" to demand an apology for someones opinion. WE get it, you coddle poor people. you have said that many times over. but you will NOT convince those of us who disagree to do the same, and vice versa. especially not on a forum

honestly.... how often do you directly help the poor? that is how you should fight your battle. this back and fourth judgmental insulting is futile.
now get off your high horse and chill out.

"free healthcare for everyone". where the hell do i sign up? we pay out the arse for our healthcare. our insurance company has informed us to be prepared for an increase. not in coverage but premiums.
i'm so happy to hear we won't be wasting our hard earned money on health care anymore. you know, doctors really should be recognized for doing their jobs for free. this is great, great news.

No i don't coddle the poor but i have a sense of human decency and sympathy for their plight.

As far as convincing those who don't agree to do the same; i agree there's not much chance of that, however that's not why i'm highlighting this. You are not understanding what i'm meaning and where i'm coming from; i am trying to instill a sense of humanity in you that over the years seems to have been lost or eroded to the point you have no empathy for others in a less well off situation than yourself. That is the basic point in all of this.

As far as helping the poor again you are misunderstanding the whole issue and where we are talking about it and what we are actually talking about; the issue is not helping the poor, it's people mouthing off about poor sections of society and thinking they can do it with impunity. That is the issue. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however when you make that opinion public and expose it to public scrutiny, like on an internet forum or anywhere else it's visible publically, you then must accept the consequences of your actions. It's like someone going on an internet forum and spouting race hatred or intolerance of !@$ people and the like; it's fine to hold those views privately but when they are broadcast you then leave yourself open to criticism and possible censure.

Which brings me back neatly to the point i made days ago; it would have been better if the guilty person who started this had kept his intolerant views to himself. That way there would have none of this.

As far as free healthcare; that should be a right of every citizen. The fact that certain sections of US society want to veto this, usually again the wealthy from the right of politics, says much. Most of the people criticising on here are probably right wingers so have an agenda. They feel because they have the money to pay for it that they don't want the poorest and weakest in society to have it.

A warped viewpoint however you look at it.

Hi Snowjoe: someone said EC's next Custom Shop Strat might have the same metallic red paint as that Ferrari, which I heard they mixed especially for him (for £3m? Why not?). In some of the other photos it looks even sexier - I don't believe they're doing it in aerosols down at Halfords yet...
