The brand is, "El Kabong". It has a unique s/n: "M-A-D-E--IN--I-N-D-O-N-E-S-I-A". It has plastic pickups in it and comes with a zippered dust cover. I know it is quite valuable but how much is it really worth?

Also, what pickups would I have to put in it to make me 'nail' Jimi Hendrix's tone? I play mostly nursery rhymes and have an equally rare, battery powered amp of the same name with a 2" speaker and the same s/n as my guitar which I'm sure makes it even more valuable! :D :D :D

TIA.

Here you go. Note the matching neck and headstock which makes it even more rare and hopefully even more valuable.

That fellow in the middle doesn't look anything like Quick Draw McGraw.

(El Kabong reference)

I was going to attempt a joke about it being an obvious fake since El Kabong would never lend his name to an electric guitar. He was as much of an acoustic purist as Segovia.

But I actually learned something while looking for an El Kabong photo. I grew up with those cartoons and I never noticed that El Kabong always used a 4-string tenor. Every image I could find -- no six strings.Image

I'm certainly nowhere close to the expertise of those of you who have offered advice on this fine instrument, but I have to ask....
Are those 3 sets of pups...single coil, humbucker, single coil? Also, what's up with the 3 tuning pegs?
Great post, btw....

Actually, the pickups and wiring are over my head on this one. :( As to the 3 pegs, maybe I have the world's only electric shamisen, thus making this piece exceedingly rare and valuable!!!

I'm glad you like my post. :D

And the FRETS!!! OMG!!! Such a collection of metals. Cobalt (blue), copper (green), iron (red) and lastly, gold. You lucky SOB!! That thing's gotta be worth a fortune.
