She's six. Dancing is fun. Practicing scales is not.

Every now and then take her to the music store. A glimpse of all those beautiful, shiny instruments may re-kindle her interest.

Dont worry, she'll come back to it. Maybe tommorow, maybe in 1 year, maybe in 10 years. When she needs it the most, she'll come back.

ballet?......oh man, i feel for you

20 years ago my daughter took dance. at the end of the season the whole school had a recital. we walked in to a full hall, then the announcement came asking everyone to stay until the whole event is over. 2 1/2 hours, and 5 minutes of my daughter. what a long night

It's fine, Danny. Years from now when she decides on her own that she'd like to begin playing guitar again, she'll have the advantage of having past experience as a child.
That's a very big deal - the brain's ability to soak in information at young ages could potential give her natural talent with little effort later on.

And guess who she'll have to thank?
