I have been playing for close to a year now and have learned these techniques : Power Chords, Chords, Barre Chords, Palm Muting, Pinch Harmonics, Bending, Vibrato, Bending Vibrato, Alternate Picking, Pull offs and Hammer Ons, Double Stops,Galloping (Rhythm technique on songs like Sum 41's "Still Waiting"), Natural Harmonics, Whammy Bar Tricks, Basic Music Theory, Improvising, all 15 scales, Learning Songs by ear (did "His World" by Zebrahead a few weeks back by just listening to it),and A handful of Pentatonic Scales and Major/Minor scale in all positions.
I can do Alternate Picking at speeds that can easily handle Sixteenth Notes. I want to get into the Thirty-Secondth (I think that's how it's spelled) speed. Any tips to do this the fastest way?
I also want to learn how to do Sweep Picking, should I just do what the online lessons say or are there any other ways?

Work with a metronome and gradually build up speed. Don't get carried away trying to go faster and faster though, make sure it's clean and even before upping the setting.

That's the only way i know to increase speed. They say speed is a by product of accuracy so... :P

What do you mean by all 15 scales?

For speed training you could buy a metronome to play with and just gradually build up tempo. Short of getting an actual teacher, online lesson are probably your best bet for sweep picking.

I'd recommend just trying to improve in the things you already know, I'd be surprised if you had totally mastered everything you listed in under a year. You might also want to learn some more theory and work on playing in different time signatures. If you really want to push yourself you could try experimenting with other genres like jazz or blues.

Try not to get too bogged down thinking about speed, you don't want to turn into an Yngwie-alike.

^^^ This is what i was thinking as well.

Mastery is a relative term and if you've truly mastered all those things you'd be one hell of a player anyway.

Just keep improving and enjoying it. 8)

I was being quite Vague when I said 15 scales... I meant to say all 15 Major Scales and their corresponding Minor scales in melodic, harmonic, and natural.

I am probably close to mastering all these if not, I already mastered them. I practice at least 18-20 hours a week, basically playing in most of my free time, but I'm playing more now since it's Summer Break. Forgot to say: I also learned Tapping and Tap Harmonics.

How are you defining mastery?

Mastery for me is that I can perform the certain technique correctly 100% of the time.

It has taken me forever to master almost nothing on the guitar.
Even the techinques I feel most comfortable with I wouldn't dare say I have mastered, or am anywhere near mastery.

On the other hand, you could be a "natural" and have guitar skills come easily to you. If so, you are lucky and should do everything you can to help your pal along.

You should post some samples of your playing. Its fun and is the easist way to show people what level you are at. You can find plenty of mine and others mediocre home recordings around here (along with a few outstanding users of course). Who knows, maybe you will find your biggest fans among the guitar players here, which would be an honor of sorts.

I call "bullsh&t"

I do too. I have been playing off and on for 47 years, and don't know what half that stuff is. But of course, I suck.

you may have mastered all of the above however; can you sit in and jam with a drummer, bass player, keyboardist and vocalist and do the RIGHT thing with your instrument?

There is more to being a master guitarist than sitting at home with the internet infront of you and mimicking what you see. A master can sit in with anyone anywhere and compliment the other instruments.

something to think about.
