Hi there! I'd like to be able to make my own Fender Guitars, such as a '72 Thinline or a Red Esquire. Is there any way I can do that? Thanks.

ok assuming this isn't a Joke ....

You can not make Fender guitars, only Fender can. That's what makes them Fender guitars. What you can do is build a guitar in a similar style to Fender guitars with a different headstock shape and without the word 'Fender' printed on it. If it's your first attempt, there are kits which can be fun:

Yes, you buy parts from places like Stratosphere on Ebay or order custom bodies and necks from Warmoth. The only way to get the Fender decal legally is to buy genuine Fender parts!, like again "Stratosphere" an Ebay store. I think he buys new and used Fenders, and others, and sells the parts seperately.

There are other sources, but basically you can build what you want.

The Fender Stratocaster headstock is copyrighted. Any use of this design without permission of FMIC is a violation of US copyright law.
