Well Greenheart - you definately have OCD - but boy oh boy is it a good one. Those guitars look cool, (excuse me "HOT", Firestorm hot) and I would definately say you have quite the experience on Firestorm finishes. It is a pitty the other thread was locked down, but it was getting a little hot in there I suppose. I hope that Brad and Fender are still looking into that possibly non-origional Firestorm finish. If it is a refinish job then it should be labeled as such. As it stands it looks like Fender is supporting supposed "Fakes" by not stating that they are looking into it. Instead they are just pointing a finger at the person who so enthusiasticaly tried to point that fact out to everyone. Even though Xhefri is a well known reputable guy on this forum, and he is not intending on selling that guitar, I am surprised he hasn't tried to figure this out himself for his own piece of mind. Then he could tell that story to everyone as I am sure it will be very interesting iether way.
