Here in Iceland there used to be no tv-progamming on thursdays (from 1966 to 1987 (and I was born in 1983 :shock:

)), Matlock was the firs tv show to be aired on Thursdays in 1987.

RIP Andy thanks for the fond childhood memories.

The Darling family boys was actually THE DILLARDS which was a top Bluegrass group.

Andy Griffith had a music degree from University of NC Chapel Hill and was a public school teacher. And yes he was better than just a passable guitarist. He could play banjo and mandolin also.
