Andy Griffith Died Yesterday
Watching the Sheriff, Opie, Aunt Bee and Barney was always one of my fondest childhood TV shows.

Rest in peace, Sheriff.

I always enjoyed the Andy Griffith show. Andy and Don Knotts were just a hoot. He will be missed  .

Andy's gone,....A sad day.

George Lindsey (Goober) died back in May.

For me its the best show ever developed for television, and Don Knots character Barney the most memorable of all TV history. IMO

Andy Griffiths entertained millions of people through the decades with his various on-screen personalities from Andy of Mayberry to his later series,Matlock. He also was an outstanding comic and they play a lot of his comic routines on Sirus/XM comedy stations. He always insisted that his scripts be free of immoral or obscene language or situations and proved quite well that you don't have to resort to profanities or obscenities to be entertaining or funny.God Bless you Andy for being such a wholesome example for all of us to follow.

"You beat all, you know that!"

"But don't the trees look full?"

(My favorite Andyisms.)

One of my favorites was when Opie said something Andy didn't like.

He told Opie, "Just think. I was so proud the day you learned how to talk."

Can't you just see him walking toward the Pearly gates with a flat top over his shoulder, smiling, looking around, "...sure is pretty up here, got a lot o' folks to catch up with...."

Andy had a comedy routine called "What it is, is Football." Check it out. It's hilarious.
