This past weekend, my honey, my best friend & I drove to Davenport IA to attend the 28th annual Mississippi Valley Blues Fest, we had a great time.

I was suppose to sit-in with Kenny Neal http://www.kennyneal.net/home.htm Friday night but the storm hit about hour or so before his slot. The lightening was terrifying even before the storm, we left as soon as I saw the first strike, which was about 30mi away.

Saturday & Sunday were good, just hot out in the sun, we stayed mainly in the shade under the trees.

Sunday I did get the chance to visit with my friend Bobby Rush, he received a couple of awards from the MVBS and also the key to the city of Davenport from the mayor.
