@ Jah Soldier - I see what you're saying now. I'm still really not having the hum issue I mean its there but nothing I hardly notice or that bothers me. I did go to GC today and tried some of guitars. Of the fenders I played

-Blacktop Strat... blech! I tried one and it was awful, and then I tried another two and they were the same! Not for me!
-Blacktop Jazzmaster... Amazing! I really dug the tone and feel of it all, it could have been jazzier and lighter but overall a pretty nice guitar. I wish it had the trem though.
-Pawnshop Jagurillo... Perfect. It has everything. From super feedback-y, to blues-y to very surf-y. I really felt comfortable with this guitar. I'm pretty sure I prefer shorter scale guitars.
-Vm Strat w/ lipstick pups... The PERFECT surf guitar! It was freaking awesome playing Best Coast! VERY VERY weak when distorted, etc.
-Vm Duo Sonic... Sounded pretty similar to the Vm strat but short scale, maple and less tonal options.

I'm thinking maybe a HSS mustang but with 2 lipstick pickups might be the answer. Tonal options and perfect feel all in one!

Oh and I loved every tele. hahahahaaha They're my favorite. They sound a tad weak when distorted, but other than that!... plus they're long scale :/
