charvel san dimas made in U.S.A. the neck seems custom made for me. the pick ups (seymore's) are hot but thats what i wanted. i'm not a whammy bar guy but this one has a floyd. i'm going to be forced to experiment. i played this thing for a short time in the store through the same amp i have here at the casa. it is the most expensive fiddle i have ever bought. the trade lessened the damage but not much.
i'm about to get acquainted with it here at home. the wife is about to go shopping. consider this some type of NGD foreplay. i'm stoked.
i had to tell someone. the wife and pups seemed unimpressed.

i need to do a search on the picture posting thingy. i am stupid AND impatient but i have posted pics before so i can do it again. i'm really proud of what little stuff i've acquired.

this guitar is absolutely a dream guitar. i can't say enought about it. i read somewhere that they were strictly rock guitars. not in my opinion. played clean in the middle position (bridge plus neck pickup) it almost out-strats my strat. yes, for real. the bridge pickup is very hot but quiet. this thing has sustain for days. the neck, i won't even start. i could write a book about the neck. i spent too much but i got exactly what i wanted for a change. i'm not a whammy bar guy but i've already started using it with a very subtle touch and feedback. very nice. no dive bombs or such.

i've got a few hours of chores this morning then i'll try the pic thingy. after that its jam time. i feel like a damn kid with this instrument. is it too early to use the word love?

i'm just too damn stupid to figure out how to post pics. the picture is at photobucket but i have no idea how to get it on here. i've read nutters guide and still can't figure it out. at photobucket when i click the IMG it just copied like i know what the hell that means. there is a 5 year kid down the street that i may have to pay to show me how to post an f-ing picture of the new axe.
extremely frustrating

once you click the 'image' thing, and it says 'copied', like you saw, just open the window with your forum reply in, right click and choose 'paste'. alternatively pressing 'ctrl+V' can be used to paste instead of right clicking.

It warms the heart to hear how much you like the new axe. Play till you bleed man, then play some more.

Congrats! I played a Charvel for years and loved it too. I think mine was made in Japan but I bought it in Germany way back in 1990 when I was in the Army for a few years.

I played it clean quite a bit and it did a great job for me tone wise, but I do like my strat even better. 8)

Enjoy it brother!

Houston, i don't even know what the hell a link is. seriously, i am completely computer illiterate. i have tomorrow off so maybe i can take my time and read through the tutorials again and post some pics.
Klowenst, i also have an old model 4 (i believe) that was made in japan. it was my number 1 axe until now. the new guitar is simply amazing. it came with 9's and i'm pretty sure thats what i'll leave on it. it is such an easy guitar to play and the sound is awesome. here i go again, blushing. tomorrow will be a full-on jam fest.
time to get to work.
