This morning I went to pre-admission clinic and had yet another screening to get the cardioversion done,this time I was given the go ahead to have the procedure 7:15 tomorrow morning.What they will be doing is giving me a general anesthetic that will put me out for about 5 or 10 minutes and then stopping my heart for a few seconds then applying the paddles to my chest and back with the hope of getting my heart's rhythm back to a normal,regular beat.BTW when they show someone getting the paddles applied on TV,they always show the person jumping or twitching-that's something that the TV and movie writers put in their shows to add to the drama.You don't so much as bat an eyelid even when the paddles are given at their maximum voltage.

After I have the procedure I won't be allowed to drive my truck or even get on the tractor to mow and sweep the lawn.I'm not allowed to use any power tools either.I have to rest up all day tomorrow after the procedure and all the next day.So I guess that I'll have to spend the day playing with my guitars and other toys-what a rough life...lol.
