This probably won't really be exactly your cup of tea.

You will NOT like this, I'm warning you of that going in, but if you listen past some of the less palatable aspects there is a definite jazz influence. Think of it as jazz-core.

Yes, infact Jazz is my favorite kind of music! Count Basie is great! If you like upbeat Jazz then listen to some the Be-Bop greats like Dizzy Gillespie, Cannonball Adderley, Maynard Ferguson, etc. All fantastic musicians.

Here is one of my Be-Bop favorites:

Here's another great tune:

And since this is a guitar forum, here's one of the greatest guitarists ever IMO:

I like certain kinds of Jazz; Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Bill Evans, Mahavishnu Orchestra (that might not be considered jazz)

For me Miles's "Kind Of Blue" has to be the greatest jazz album ever 8) moody, atmospheric, mindblowing.

Check out Kenny Burrell's playing as well, particularly 'Midnight Blue'

I sat at a front row table at Ronnie Scott's club through two sets of Maynard Ferguson about four feet in front of his trumpet. About a week later my hearing started to return, though it took longer to recover in the upper register. Quite a night.

Good band, too.

Cheers - C

Yes I'm a jazz fan. Haven't got that much though.

I'm playing a Count Bassie song in school stage band. Jive at five, I believe.
