We get the same weather as you guys get Tochai, in Glasgow. It's been raining every day here for what seems like ages and there have been flood alerts in some places. Plus i heard there was a massive landslide next to a railway line somewhere 'cos of all the rain :(

Been particularly bad this year, usually not as much rain as this. Though every cloud has a silver lining; we could export a lot of water

Yeah that's hopeless sure enough, though they say it's the finest whiskey in the world from here. It must be to do with all the bloody rain we get :P and the cold weather

+1!!!!

I think the fog probably adds the favourable nuances to this one........although I have to admit I do prefer the 18yr old malt.........but that could just be because I'm Scottish and price has a lot to do with palate up here..........

The fog rolling in and the biting freezing rain mix together to make that special ingredient for folks to appreciate the authentic Scottish taste

Funny i thought most of the American guys preferred the Jack Daniels. Where is it made? Tennessee i think :?:

Just realised that somebizarredude also called it 'scotch'.........I thought that was blended.......Highland Park is a single malt.

ANyways when it comes to whisky at the moment all I care about is that it warms me up instantly in thsi bloody awful summer......I don't even taste it....unless it's an Islay malt.....yuk!!! The first time I tried one of them in a bar I handed it back and asked the barman to rinse his glasses properly....it wasn't till the 3rd failed attempt did i realise I was tasting iodine and not some sort of soap rinse.............

Central Victoria's weather suffers from bi-polar, I swear. In summer, it can be 40 C with no clouds one minute, then litterally 15 minutes later, it can go down to 17 C and bucketing down rain.
I actually dont mind the diversity of it. At times it does get on my nerves, of course.
