So, over the past month, when I've gone to shape bar chords such as G minor, I get this strain-feeling pain in between my thumb and my index finger, if I keep it going for long enough anyway. Does that mean the muscle is to weak or what? What should I do? If my left hand ends up with any sort of pain/muscle disorder like my right hand I will go insane.

Oh, and I dunno if this is gonna help at all, but I broke my left wrist when I was 9. Could that have anything to do with it?

Hi riley, could be if you've not been doing a lot of that type of chording and then suddenly upped the volume of it with a lot of playing. That usually causes some kind of reaction.

Might be if your using heavy strings or a high action as well which work to make the hand struggle more with the workload.
