Hello everyone.

I have my guitar attached to my Mustang 1 amp.
I have the USB connected to my computer.
I have Fender Fuse installed.
I have Ableton Live 8.0.9 installed.

So now I want to record my guitar onto Ableton. I have looked in the lessons section but I'm still lost......can anyone help?

The easiest way is to view the tutorials on YouTube.

There are many of them there.

You should have posted your question in the Mustang forum where I posted a tutorial on recording with Ableton Live.

Once you guys learn to set it up its a snap and super fun.It might take a a few tries to get it dialed in ,but check out the Ableton website in "The How to" section or like Mike said on you tube.I got mine up and going just watching the tutorials on the Ableton website...good luck.

I'm sorry, it was Audacity that I couldn't get to work.

You mean, Audacity wouldn't recognize your Mustang as a audio input?

Have you installed the latest version of Audacityhttp://audacity.sourceforge.net/?

Did everything I could, but I don't use the Mustang 1 anymore. I upgraded to a larger tube amp and now have the Presonus set up with Studio One.

Now, if I can figure this stuff out...

I've only had hands-on with Studio One software for about an hour, but because I've used other DAW software, the learning curve wasn't that hard, for me.

I mainly use Reaper ($60) http://www.reaper.fm/ for PC recording along with a Cakewalk (Edirol) UA-4FX external USB audio capture interface http://tinyurl.com/7uu37tx.

The UA-4FX came bundled with SONAR LE, but my 'vintage' single core AMD 3600+, 4GB RAM, would lockup if I had more than three tracks running with plug-ins. Reaper is less a memory hog, and I can have, maybe, fifteen tracks running without any problems.

I still prefer using either my BR-800 http://tinyurl.com/35bzq58 or BR-1600 http://tinyurl.com/lv7htg for recording. The setup is faster on the BR-800, so I use it the most.

The drums on the BR-800 are PCM, so if I want a more realistic drum tone, I'll export the tracks for the BR-800, import to Reaper and add drum loops using DrumCore http://www.sonomawireworks.com/drumcore/. As long as I don't have any tempo changes, I can select a drum groove that will 'drag 'n drop' by measure right into Reaper.
