I don't have a problem with people coming here to improve their lives, as long as they do it legally. No country in the world allows unmonitored, unlimited immigration for a good reason.

I do have a problem with American companies firing American workers and giving those jobs to cheap labor in another country. Once again the American middle class is paying for some other group to become richer. I've got an idea...how about cheap overseas board members? Cheap overseas CEO's, CFO's, COO's?? Cheap overseas accountants? Nope, won't see the big money jobs go will we? Wonder why that is?

By the way...twice between 1993 and 1998 I lost a job to cheap overseas technicians. It all seems like a good idea until it happens to you. Then it happens again........

Unfortunately outsourcing will forever haunt this country. As many have already felt. I personally, being a union tradesman resent the agression of the throngs of undocumented workers. I live in the Phoenix Metro area where forelosures of homes are at epidemic levels. On the other hand I recently purchased a beautiful blonde Baja Tele, on line, buckling to the temptations of the features it offered, at an affordable price. Much to my dismay the fret work was pathetic. The 11th fret was ground flat creating a valley killing any set-up possibilities. I know there are good ones out there also. QC may not be a priority when "Hecho en Mexico". Cheap,Fast,& Dirty don't always get it. That could be a song, gotta go. I do love my 89' USA Strat.

I'm not going to enter the political debate.

The Twin Reverb is made in USA. Fender currently builds guitar amplifiers in these countries:

USA (Custom series, Pro Tube series, Vintage Reissue series)
Mexico (Hot Rod series, Acoustasonic series, a few others)
China, Indonesia, Vietnam (FM, Frontman, G-DEC, Vintage Modified)

If your amp doesn't say where, then it's USA. Anywhere else, and it will be clearly marked.

We make amplifiers with MSRP from $79 to $4000. If you insist on USA, no worries. We are one of the only amplifier manufacturers who have 'em, not counting "garage" operations.

Hope this helps.

Shane

I'm pretty sure all the higher end "professional" amps are made in the States.
I'm not even getting started on the political thing except we have gone from a nation of blue collar workers to paper hat workers. Corporate Greed is whats driving our jobs out of this country. I wouldn't mind working for 16 bucks an hour with paid benefits, send the jobs to Pennsylvania.
