One of my co-workers wanted to buy a American Standard Strat for her husband's birthday. The color was not available locally, and time was of the essence, so I ordered it Tuesday from GC on my account. The Strat arrived today in bueatiful and 100% great shape. The remarkable thing was aside of being just a little flat the tuning and intonation was spot on, something I did not expect from the warehouse.

Good job GC!

I'm not a big fan of GC, but it's nice to see you were happy. I guess it's true, even a blind squirrel can find an acorn once in a while  .

oneal lane, good to hear good news about GC. I have always liked going in there and the staff there has always been courteous and helpful.
Thanks for posting.

Wow does it say something about me that I originally thougt that the title of the post was sarcastic. I guess it might be that the majority of the posts about GC are negative, personally I don't have an experience with GC customer service because we don't have GC where I live. :(

Good to hear, where I live the GC is almost 1 hour away from me, but when I do get there I find the folks very helpful and friendly.

I have a local GC with a good store mgr. The associates are good as well. I bought a bass from them that is in great new condition, as it should be for a new Axe. They had the amp cab that I purchased still in a carton. No problems with this local GC.

The post is not intended to be sarcastic.

GC take a lot of negative hits here. But in general people are more likely to complain when something is wrong that chime up about good service. But then we expect good service as a natural part of doing business and poor service sticks out. I just wanted to report that I had very good service through the mail order store, and the Stratocaster (jade green metallic/rosewood) arrived pristine and almost in perfect tune. Just in case anyone was considering them as a vendor. :D

My experience with GC has been about 95% positive. My only real complaint is some of the customers you have to put up with, and then that's not GC's fault. I have learned to go during times of the day when the youg "metal heads" are at home or school.

And do not miss out on the fact that the little gal I work with bought her husband a new 2012 MIA Strat for his suprise birthday :)
