Interesting article on the Fretboard Journal site
http://www.fretboardjournal.com/features/online/guitarists-bucket-list

I don't care about some of them, some I'd like to do, and some I have done-

Here's what I have done-
Join an online guitar forum.
Get into an argument with someone on an online guitar forum.
Have at least two quotes from This is Spinal Tap committed to memory.
Host a house concert.
Stick a mirror in your acoustic guitar's sound hole to look at the bracing.
See B.B. King perform.
Swear off a particular brand of strings.
Introduce yourself to one of your guitar heroes after a concert.
Teach a kid his/her first three chords.
Lend a piece of expensive gear to a musician far more proficient than you.
Play through a tape echo.
Refuse to buy an otherwise great guitar because you don't like the way the neck feels.
Drop your guitar and then realize it’s not the end of the world.
Learn the middle and end of “Stairway to Heaven.”
Grow your fingernails out.
Adjust a truss rod without any outside help.
Learn an open tuning.
Buy a 12-string guitar.
Scratch and sniff a piece of Brazilian rosewood.
Conduct a photo shoot with your current guitar quiver.
Own at least one guitar made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Own at least one guitar made in Fullerton, California.
Learn a song written by a musician who died before you were born.
Learn the difference between a Duolian and a Triolian.
Contemplate buying a guitar made the year you were born.
Own an effects pedal not carried by Guitar Center.

Things I have almost done, would like to do, etc-

Miss a day of work because you were up too late playing.-I have showed up to work tired because I was up too late playing, although not at my current job.
Build your own cigar box guitar.
Play a vintage Weissenborn. (I've played a copy of a Weissenborn, and played a current Weissenborn.
Try to play a harp guitar. (I'd love to try this out)
Capture a Les Paul Monday at the Iridium in New York City (bonus points if you actually saw Les Paul play when you could). If I had made it to NY while he was alive I would have done this.
Buy a ukulele in Hawaii. I would have, but there were only cheap toy type ones, and ones too expensive for me.

Anybody else?

Okay, here's the ones out of 99 that I have done:

Join an online guitar forum.
Get into an argument with someone on an online guitar forum.
Fire a drummer.
Host a house concert.
Perform a song you wrote at an open mic.
Attend a NAMM show, the annual trade show for musical instrument manufacturers. I saw The Ventures introducing their short-lived Mosrite amps.
Find yourself in a strange neighborhood chasing a Craigslist lead. I've still got the heebies!
Swear off a particular brand of strings.
Film yourself playing and post it on YouTube.
Introduce yourself to one of your guitar heroes after a concert.
Order a flight case to keep your favorite instrument safe and sound.
Teach a kid his/her first three chords.
Install a humidity gauge somewhere in your house. In the Music Room!
Change a broken string onstage in the middle of your set. Didn't go so well.
Play "Wipe Out" through a spring reverb.
Listen to Leo Kottke tell a joke between songs at one of his concerts.
Hoard a stash of tone woods for a custom guitar that you haven't fully decided upon yet.
Install a boutique set of pickups by yourself.
Buy a cheap acoustic guitar specifically for outdoor jams and barbeques.
Lend a piece of expensive gear to a musician far more proficient than you.
Play through a tape echo.
Burn yourself on a hot vacuum tube.
Refuse to buy an otherwise great guitar because you don't like the way the neck feels.
Drop your guitar and then realize it’s not the end of the world. Almost, but not quite.
Grow your fingernails out.
Adjust a truss rod without any outside help.
Learn an open tuning.
Buy a 12-string guitar. Bought my first in Vietnam, but I left it there.
Buy a short-scale or parlor guitar.
Play James Taylor's "Fire and Rain" on an Olson guitar. My buddy, Bradley, owned one.
Scratch and sniff a piece of Brazilian rosewood. Done that to a lot of woods!
Conduct a photo shoot with your current guitar quiver.
Own at least one guitar made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Own at least one AMP made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Own at least one guitar made in Fullerton, California.
Learn a song written by a musician who is fifteen years younger than you.
Learn a song written by a musician who died before you were born.
Restring your guitar in "Nashville" tuning. Still have the recording I made.
Regret that you sold a great guitar when you were younger and needed the cash.
Contemplate buying a guitar made the year you were born. 1949??
Miss a day of work because you were up too late playing.
Write a song for your significant other.

Done quite a few on that list, but here's the ones still on my bucket list...

Make a jam at the Green Iguana in Tampa w/ Arjay and Cedar Blues on a Monday 8)
Retolex a Fender amp.
Learn to play slide well!
Find my old 59 Tweed Harvard!
Build a Champ From a Kit.

That is all...well for now...the great thing about a bucket list is you can always add some more to it...up to a certain point.

There were only 3 items on my guitar bucket list:

1. See SRV's #1.
2. Play a real vintage 60's Strat.
3. Own a real vintage 60's Strat.

I knocked #1 and #2 off the list a few weeks ago when I went to Austin.

#3 is going to take a bit of work.

I made it to the Iridium about this time last year. Steve Miller, Les Paul's god son showed up and did a couple of tunes.
I built a couple of pedals from kits and painted the outside, they're so hideous you'll never see anything like these at GC, but they sound good.
My list includes retiring soon, playing hours a day and some day getting proficient enough to actually perform, maybe even in a band. There's a little voice in the back of my head saying something about singing as well, but I've resisted adding that to my list.

Here's the only ones I've done:

2. Join an online guitar forum.
3. Get into an argument with someone on an online guitar forum.
7. Have at least two quotes from This is Spinal Tap committed to memory.
21. Swear off a particular brand of strings.
26. Teach a kid his/her first three chords.
61. Drop your guitar and then realize it’s not the end of the world.
74. Learn an open tuning.
75. Buy a 12-string guitar.
88. Learn a song written by a musician who died before you were born.

Looks like I've got some work to do...
