Nope never happened to me or anyone I have ever played with! Must have been one heck of a solo!

I don't know if this is a good example due to the fact that this was back in the late 60s but I played in a band where the other guitarist drooled while he played rhythm.

i woke up one morning after a particuarly heavy night naked on the bedroom floor with my face resting on the bridge of my '72 custom and beer flavoured drool all over it.

took ages to clean the guitar, ages to get the imprint of the bridge out of my cheek, and ages for the rest of the band to stop bringing it up

I often drool like a broken tap when other people play the guitar. Never when I do.

That must tell us something, I guess...

Cheers - C

I sometimes drool when I am looking at the high dollar guitars at Guitar Center, never on my own guitars when I am playing, though.

Seriously, yes, I catch myself about to drool when I'm "in the zone".
And about once a week, I don't catch myself in time.
I thought I was the only one.
This is good to know.

i once noticed some major drool hanging from John Frusciante`s mouth in a live version of `if you have to ask` on the chili`s `off the map` dvd. I just googled it and its on youtube.

I dont drool, but i am a fairly angry singer and must admit i sometimes notice a bit of spit flying, best not to stand too near the front :D

This reminds me of a cheesy joke about drummers. Something about how you know the stage is level. A real knee-slapper, I'm sure.

That happens to me sometimes, and also occasionally when I'm listening to someone else play. I don't realize I'm doing it until I have to catch my breath at the end of a solo.

But drooling, no not really. But there is a reason why I try not to play onstage with a runny nose...
