So you guys in America get the whole summer off?
Thats awesome.

Australia only get 2 weeks off in Autumn, Winter and Spring, and then 6 weeks off in Summer over Christmas. Which the Winter holidays are only 2 weeks away, thankfully.

It's just seems so strange that you're heading for winter while us Americans are putting on our bathing suits  The world's a big place!

I would have gotten out yesterday

If my f***ing French teacher would have bumped my grade up the 1.6 points I needed to pass. Now I get to waste 6 weeks of my life in summer school.

You guys are lucky...but when do you go back? We get from about 20th july to the start of september off for the summer holiday. At the moment, I'm facing a grade 6 exam, geography exam, Duke of Edinburgh's trip and german controled assessment next week. The week after is more german with a load of mocks too.

Fun fun... :D

I passed my Grade 8 by one mark a few months ago. 8) Is the German Speaking or Writing?

My last class was the 10th of May, I've got one more exam left of 16 on Monday and its only a 45 minute German reading, then I have to go in on Tuesday to bring books back. After that I'm free until results day, on which my school now do interviews for pupils going into sixth form.

This time last year I was on an exchange visit in Germany. :(

Nice :D I would love to go on exchange there... The german is a speaking, which my teacher says is not too hard but I have my doubts...

Well done on the grade 8-it's difficult to do the grades with GCSE's or equivalent at the same time-practice time is cut down so much... BTW, was it classical or rock?

Good luck on your results!!! :D :D

It was Rockschool bass, I wasn't prepared at all. I looked over some of the pieces in my composition class that morning and just sort of wung the rest of it.

With speakings there really isn't anything you can do except learn the stuff and hope for the best. German is actually one of the subjects I'm most confident about because of how much of it I had already done before the rest of exams started.

In my german class, we tend to not do any material at A or A* grade, meaning that I end up trying to teach it to myself to get a better grade...I find it one of my harder subjects, but I'm only in the first year of GCSE's so I have less experience.

Ouch. See, over here we dont get 'summer school'. So if you fail a class, you have to re-do it during summer? If I fail a class then thats that.
If I were you I'd just say 'stick it' and just wont show up. They dont have control over your life.

Riley, I'm sure he has to go. Truancy is a legal matter.
