Does anybody REALLY believe "Pet Sounds" is REALLY GREAT :!: :!: :!:

I agree it was a "game changer" and is considered a top classic.
But, MOST (not all) songs are good for background music. Great for relaxing.
Is "Pet Sounds" supposed to be a relaxing album?

What do you think?

Well it's not exactly meant to be a jarring thrasher...

Wow. read the Wikipedia article. You'd be amazed at who thinks it's really great.

I know it is great and created in a unique, differerent and inventive way.
But, how often do you listen to it?

Within the favorite album thread, how many named "Pet Sounds".
It is critically aclaimed. But, my question is, is it in the same caliber of
Pink Floyd's best? And, if so, which group is listened to, more frequently?

Toppscore :)

I know what you're saying, but pitting Pet Sounds against say DSotM really isn't an easy choice for me. I love them both.

BTW - I just realized I have Pet Sounds in the car but not Dark Side . . .

Two of my fave AC/DC tracks. Had Powerage on vinyl back in the day and like so many more was never replaced when CD's took off
