Don't know what she feels this morning...but i felt good yesterday night , watching her live. :D
She really tries to involve the crowd with her stories and phenomenal voice ! The band, a trio this time, consisting of a really good drummer and a bass player , + Jon Diamond- who played the entire set with a telecaster. They worked really well together. Tight as h......

You're welcome :) You may have a closer look at her in the 'Across the universe'- movie (which I unfortunately never saw...) - Yes , she is really good ! It was an outdoor event, a rainy night - and she really heated the audience !!

Great voice...thanks for the link! I'm envious 8)
I just read that Oslo is in the top 5 (perhaps even #1) of the most expensive cities in the world...so how much did the tickets cost :?:
Glad it worked out for you....
cheers

I guess you're right- expensive country , this :( I had to pay 500 Norwegian Kroner (Nkr)
That should make about about 83 US $$(or85 CAD). But this was a festival w 5 bands on. Still think it was expensive....
I was lucky to get one Springsteen-ticket in Oslo late in july(for my birthday :D ) - I saw the price tag on it- -720Nkr! That is close to 120 USD ! An it's a really big concert -I suppose 35.000-40.000 spectators !
BTW , the last six years I've been living in Kristiansand, about as far south as it is possible within Norway (ca. 187 miles south/southwest of Oslo) Not very much cheaper here..

Well, here in Toronto my son is about to buy a ticket to see Roger Waters and the cheapest price that he can find is $50 cdn....plus he won't be able to see much, but for him and his friends, that's not the point.
Norway may be expensive, but it's also widely considered to be among the best places to live, so I'd (if I could afford it :) ) gladly live in such a country!
Best,
Alex

Well , I can't complain about living here :D We've got good social solutions, like the health-care, and taking care of those unable to do it themselves. And the summers are hot , winters cold , and lots of fresh air and water :D
Roger Waters is well worth the money , I think. I saw him in Oslo about 8 years ago- one of the best concerts I've ever been to - and I have been to quite a lot of them....-and the price are a bit lower than it would have been here
You're from Willowdale, Alex - is that in Toronto ? Checked on google maps

Willowdale is a suburb of Toronto....at the northern end and centrally located around Yonge St. It runs roughly from Sheppard Ave to Steeles Ave and along Yonge St (our main north south street)
One claim to fame as it were, is that 2/3 of Rush grew up in Willowdale...check this out

Yes - and it really opened my eyes (and ears  ) for how much dynamic music it is possible to make as a trio. Their final song that night were a medley of 'Helter Skelter' and 'Come together'.
Mindblowing

I'm surprised this band isn't more known. That's some hard driving roll up rock/blues. The best I have heard in years, if not ever.
