Having a cheat sheet can work. Say like a set list with notes written next to each song. Like chord progressions, etc. In case you get a brain fart, you can just take a peek. It's a good back up.

On the odd song that I may be rushed on and not too confident of my memory, I sometimes write the chord progression on my left forearm. Though I haven't done that in years.

Get a electronic photo display frame, any size you wish. Figure out a way to mount it on mic stand up close below mic down the boom or stand or on top. Load Photo's (Jpeg's) of Lyric sheets printed in clear text on photo displayer (You'll need scanner or file conversions to go from text to JPEG) Name files in order of set so they display in order. Use the up down manual button and shut off automatic picture changing.Picture rotation allows vertical mounting if wish. I have a friend uses this system I thought of one day while discussing display techniques for lyrics.
