The facial hair tells me you're an amazing player. Lovely basses!

these pictures are probably between 5-10 years old now, i dont gig or jam anymore, and nobody is taking pics of me playign in my room. (that i know of :? )

recording at college, betwen 16-18, early 2000's MIM '72 custom tele
Image

at practice, MIM std strat with limited edition finish. we practiced/jammed the same room for about 5 years every thursday night. like a ritual. set up, have a jam. smoke break. go to the shop, get some munch and beverages. get a copy of Nuts to slip into the drummers kit. he was the youngest, and his mum always came and picked him up hahahaha. go to chip shop, check out the hotty, get chips. the drummer liked a Pukka pie. then back to room, eat chips, smoke. play a lot. swap instruments and laugh at each other. smoke. play some more. we had 4 hours a night every time we went. eventually the caretaker joined our band hahaha, after we gave him a scare letting him 'catch us' sniffing sherbert - as in the proper sweetshop sherbert - through a rolled up fiver (we were poor sudents, no 20's in our wallets  ). good times. :(

Image

not strictly me, but the drummer being 'gangsta' , my mate with his MIM deluxe strat behind him, and the caretaker singer, who got us cheap rental. and my kit and pedals on the left.

Image

practice again, with the tele.

Image

eerrmmm.
Image

this is unfortunately the only pic i have with my '85 MIJ '62 custom

Image

i found another

Image

actually found a few more. that other thread that says facebook is crap ?? its good for finding photos of yoruself you forgot you appeared in hahahahaha

i think only our second gig, im the oldest in the band, i was 18, the drummer and bassist only 16.

and our biggest gig, playing the local town center during a big music festival thing.

Here's me playing at a local music fest about two years ago -- it's probably the best pic available of me performing with my tele...

You can also kind of see my sister in the background playing drums!

Haha i just realised i posted the same pic twice. My biggest gig was not in a practice room haha. The strat is the best for wailing on, the 72 custom for chording or making the most of the neck pup, which i love. The 62 is the best of both. I think its testament to mim std strats that it plays better than the more expensive other 2, although its partly down to the frets - the teles both have smaller frets than the strat.

I need to get that photo sorted :-/

lol, yeah i was a little confused..I was like, wow, the biggest show you played had no people?!?!? :P I kind of figured you might have posted the wrong picture though

yeah, i am way more a fan of the strat. the teles looks really cool though. I am just not so hot for the sound.
