hey all Fender lovers and users , i've been facing a serious issue and haven't been able find a solution of that ...
I have a Fender CD 60 CE acoustic guitar. The other day , i took all the strings out of my guitar and wanted to clean it up as well as load it up with a brand new set of strings...
The thing is that after I had installed the strings on my guitar , and tuned it..... i have seen a difference in sound in my guitar... :x
like , the TREBLE string are louder....that the bass strings.... :x  :(
and whenever i'm plugging it into my amp , i'm hearing this same problem !!! :?
this is really giving me a lot of trouble... :(
requesting immediate assistance........

Were the strings you put on exactly the same as the ones you took off? Obviously different brands and gauges will have different sounds. Also if you put on a different gauge the slots on the nut could be the wrong width for them, affecting the sound, but maybe only noticeably so on the lower strings.

Following on from Tochai's response, does the saddle come out easily.......I have seen guys take off their strings, the saddle fall out than they put it back in the wrong way round, putting the thicker slots at the side of the treble strings which lets those strings get much closer to the soundhole whilst pulling the bass strings further away.........

I would expect new strings to sound brighter, especially on an acoustic guitar. If the old strings were really old then the enhanced brightness would be even more noticeable.

What's the brand and gauge of the new strings verses the old ones? Did the action change? Did you allow a day or two for the strings to break in and stabilize?

The strings provided by fender was , Dura-Tone® Coated 80/20 Bronze (.012-.052 Gauge)...
And later , i had changed that with a set of D'Addario (0.10-0.50 Gauge)....
Was it a factor ???
And the strings aren't too old...They're probably 1 or 1 and half months old.....

And also , why the sound of the bass string (low E) is lesser than the treble strings when I hook it in my amp??????

You've gone from a medium gauge to a light (poss even extra light for acoustic) and that is going to give you a substantially different sound mate. The lighter gauge bass string will sound really thin compared to the 12s. WHen you change gauge on acoustic you really need to mess with your EQ on both your guitar and amp to get a bassier sound, your settings from the 12s will cause the 10s to sound really high end and the bass will be very low.

+1, that's probably what's wrong.

The first time I changed strings on my first guitar I thought I broke it. I was thinking I ruined my guitar. Then day by day the strings mellowed out and broke in nicely. And that was my acoustic!

I'd keep the D'Addarios on there. What your hearing is better sound.

I have always preferred lighter and brighter sounding strings on my Ovation acoustics. It takes little effort to EQ the difference and the lighter gauge strings bring out the acoustic sound much better in a group mix.

new strings always seem to sound brighter (more treble) and if you have put on a lighter guage than the previous set definitley you'll hear a big difference in the tone

I might be anal, but I change my strings every 2 weeks even if I'm not playing. We have a lot of humidity here and it doesn't take long for corrosion to set in. Plus it makes it easier to polish my rigs when the strings are off, and I enjoy tinkering with my gear.

Right now I have the strings off my Godin Velocity, just got done polishing her, removed one of the trem springs and am about to set this thing up as a floating bridge like my Strats were.
