Tasteless and disgusting. Interesting that it's mainly the youngsters here who find this amusing. Not enough perspective in their lives yet, I guess.

My great grandpa, who is in his mid 80s, would probably find this funny. About 5 years ago, he hid a fart machine in a public restroom while we were out to dinner and had fun. He's just that type of person.

 and the fart box hidden inside an open casket at a wake...... priceless
maybe there is something wrong with me :|

We have a similar sense of humor. My whole family has kind of a morbid sense, I mean, my brother made a funeral have a happier mood with a single joke 2 years ago. It was my grandpa from my dad's side of the family (not the fart machine one, he's still kickin'), and everybody was crying, including us, and my brother leans over to me and says "Hey, what if grandpa got up and started doing Thriller?" Normally, I could keep my composure, but I busted out laughing during a prayer  It was tough to explain why, but everyone had a good laugh.

Anyways, the moral of my story is that death is a way to celebrate life. Being the joker he was, I'm sure my grandpa would have laughed along with it. There's nothing wrong with lightening up about death, or maybe that's just me because I've been to many funerals.

Another one was a close friend of mine. He had loads of medical issues, and I think he knew he didn't have much time. Anyways, that kid crammed so much life into the 16 years he had, and rarely let his conditions get in the way. He didn't have a single rib in his body that was real (forgot the condition, but his ribcage never formed properly, so he had aluminum ones put in, along with many other things) He would travel a lot, so he would mess with the airport security by not telling them of his ribs, and then freaking out when the detector went off. He always had 2 or 3 handheld gaming systems with him, and I always was playing Pokemon on my bus ride. We would battle and trade all the time, and those were really great times. At his funeral, I brought up these times, and everyone kinda had a chuckle. It wasn't a joke or anything, but more of a reminder of him being there that just kind of brightened people's day. I'll never trade those Pokemon, or get rid of that game, though.

(I'm not taking death lightly either, these are just a couple of my experiences, and my perception of death.)
