Not to that extent, but I do like to make things up while i listen to music. I used to do a lot of improve in high school with trumpet in a jazz band. Once I got comfortable with guitar I found it easier to do guitar improvisation than trumpet. It's much easier when the intervals are right there for you. I could probably do the same with piano, but I'm not comfortable playing that at all.

Slide3, have you heard Haste The Day's version of long way down? One of my favorites...

Substance by Haste The Day
Unholy Confessions by Avenged Sevenfold
Rose of Sharyn by Killswitch Engage
Black Dog by ... you know what, if you don't know who does this song...

Thats pretty much my list of all time favorite songs. I think I metal may be a bit of a minority on this board, but I still love it. 8)

there are so many songs i listen to i never really have a favorite... some days i'll be in a really energetic mood, and more heavy songs that make me want to jump around are good... other days i'm really somber and i'll listen to things like hyper chondriac music by muse or some acoustic red hot chili peppers.... it really depends on my modd, but i don't have a "favorite"

Here is a recording I took at a John Mayer concert that I went to in June. Great jam before going into "I Don't Need No Doctor"

If I had to pick without thiking of an individual song, I would have to say anything Beatles or Bruce Springsteen. I know I am gonna get killed for listing the boss and beatles in the same sentence.
