Why won't you make brass saddles for Strats? I love Brass saddles, it's probably a placebo, but I do. If you're gonna offer models like Blacktops, you should at least make available a way to brighten the neck HB a little, and I believe a difference in highs can be heard by using brass saddles even more than a brass block can offer. Although the balls of the strings are being held by the block, they also rest against the saddles, which I personally believe to be a more important factor.

Anyone who has tried the Graph tech scam and heard their tone deaden as a result can testify to what I'm sayin'. In a world where people are modifying with DiMarzio and Seymour Duncan single sized Hums, most of which tend opt for more midrange and Bass, and subduing the highs, you could at least offer some Brass to a bruthah to compensate for some of the high-end loss.

I can find Brass Tele saddles for a decent price, but Strat saddles in the aftermarket are running at $80 and higher. What's the deal? Why aren't they being made for Strats?

Man I had this a while back with my Tele and three saddle intonation woes. I modded it with a 70's style 6 saddle bridge.

I went along with that for a while (about a year) but couldn't get used to the sound. I was looking at the G&L Tele bridges. I didn't opt for it in the end. Too hard to come by in the UK, couldn't be doing with the agro of international shopping.

G&L can do it, why can't Fender. Fender could even do it with the correct colour screws.

Anyway, would that be a possible mod, use those saddles on a Strat? You may have to shorten the intonation adjustment screws a little.

JS...Fender used to offer what they called thier "Brass Works" in the mid to late 70's as an option on thier guitars and basses...maybe they will hear you and relaunch this again.

I agree that brass saddles accentuate the highs, especially on teles, so would stand to reason the same for strats.

FWIW
