I am needing to know on what would be the best guitar for me. I am considering a new Fender when I already own a Taylor T-5C which is a hybrid guitar. I want to know what Fender quitar can match up or come close to the sound my T-5 produces. I have been going for 6 years on a guitar and am ready to take my playing to a new level. What do you think is reccomended?

It seems to me that if you want a guitar that sounds like your T5, then you should just use your T5. If you are looking to add something that will expand your options, then try some guitars at your local friendly guitar shop and see what you like.

You will have to find what you like, but I have been playing for 30 years and I got into fender a few years ago with a mim strat. last year I bought american deluxe ash tele and this year a 57 vintage hot rod strat. oh yeah
I sold all my gibson and ibanez guitars that I don't play anymore. these guitars will give you a whole new level of playability.. Have fun shopping

What guitar or guitars call to you? Repeat, call?

In this opinion, 'do it all' instruments like the T-5, Line 6 Variax and Cyber-Strat have no true soul or personality of their own. This is not a criticism, 'personally like modeling guitars and have a couple.

But do you really feel comfy when you cuddle up with a Jazzmaster or SG? Does a Strat or Firebird light up your soul? Is a 6120 or 360 Rick echoing in your melon?

Suggest you read Zen Guitar by Philip Toshio Sudo and ponder. And shop.
Peace and best wishes.

Shop, look, listen, play, and enjoy! I've been through many guitars in over 20 years, and I still don't stop shopping around. I have GAS (Guitar Acquisition Syndrome). 8)
