Back in the '70's we used to call Antigua "Eskimo Sunburst".

Does anybody have an idea on how many guitiars will be built with this finish?

I heard 500 strats and 300 basses.

Any truth?

Maybe it´s a good idea to wait another month to get the Run completed. Then we can make an inquiery to Fender how many of each model they actually made.
It seems the number of Teles is lower than (Fender) expected.

Cheers,
Robin

These were the figures I pieced together from surfing around various sites

300 Telecasters were being built with 180 Telecasters, being released in the USA with another 120 worldwide, only 4 were coming to the North of England.

500 (380 in USA) Stratocasters,
300 Precision Bass
250 Jazz Bass models

were being released worldwide.

Are the pick-up locations in the 70's location or the standard Jazz spots for the Antigua?

Being that the bass is retro inspired an all.

I hope someday we see all these cool 70's Style P Bass actually come with B width necks and vintage radius. Then I can buy one. :?

Love the classic Fender P. They are all I will play. My CIJ 51RI P is my goto bass. I used to have a 78 P. Great neck. Much like the Classic Series 70's P bass, this Antigua P would be perfect, and something I would love to own. However, I can't stand the modern radius. Sorry. :( Maybe next time.

Earlier this week I say my first Antigua Strat "up close and personal"-no pictures could do it justice. The Antigua finish has to be seen "in the flesh" to appreciate the true beauty of it. I wish I had the money to buy one of each model or just one Strat.Antigua was always my favourite Fender finish.Hopefully I'll win the lottery tonight.

I've had my Antigua J-Bass for 5 days now and I am really pleased. You have to see it in person to really se how great looking it is. Pictures don't really do it justice. It plays great and sounds good. The volume seems just a little lower than my 2008 American Standard. I am really happy with it.
