I bought an album back in the LP days that feature Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, and Johnny Winter live at some club. It was one of the worst god awful albums I ever bought. Morrison was doing more screaming vulgarities than singing, Hendrix was off mic but can be heard telling Morrison to sit down, and Winter wasn't even in tune. I think Winter was drunk and there was no doubt that Morrison was down right poisoned.

I believe the name of that was "Woke up this morning and found myself dead"... and that's not a joke.

No, it's The Scene, you can see the banner in the background when The Doors played there http://tinyurl.com/47gxsab.

I have a bootleg of the songs recorded that night. I know another two boxes of reels were discovered last year in a back-closet at The Record Plant. Some of those tracks may be released next year.

Also Steven Stills still has the session tapes from his first solo album (that Jimi played on), 'Experience Hendrix' will release an CD of those sessions. http://tinyurl.com/3ukk5ja
