For those who haven't seen one like it (I hadn't):

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fender-Custom-Shop-66-Stratocaster-Closet-Classic-/110679505839?pt=Guitar&hash=item19c5033baf

Just imo, it seems a bit overboard.

I think it looks ok. It works better of jaguar style guitars than it does on strats.

Gibson do a sort of inverse matching headstock on the Thunderbird bass.

I don't like three tone sunburst, the red band bothers me. However I think that guitar would look infinitely better with a rosewood fingerboard. The light maple is glaring.

The bullseye thing doesn't do it for me. Two tone can be very classy though, I find.

I agree,I don't like a bullseye 3TSB....I like it to blend....here's my '62 AVRI.

Don't like it, looks fugly! Never really cared for a matching headstock on any guitar. But I am a big fan of the sunburst. This just doesn't fade into the next color enough like that '62 AVRI above. Nice geet by the way!

It looks horrid, IMO. I like the look of a nice matching headstock on a vintage instrument or even a nice reissue...but this is just wrong.
