Last time I looked, this a music forum and in the 40+ years I have been playing music, I have never heard anyone play a guitar like SRV. To say he is boring, it has to be a troll.

...with few exceptions, and despite the man's genius, creativity, and superlative technical prowess, and may he rest in peace (I saw him do an interview live at UCLA before he passed...don't eat the yellow snow in Heaven Frank...and DO NOT stick a dog doo snow cone in ur eye), most of his compositions bore me to tears.

Floyd doesn't have the intentions of making someone mad. A troll is someone who posts an outrageous opinion with the intentions of making someone mad and starting a fight. From talking with Floyd, he's simply very straightforward and very stern with his opinions. I love The Ramones, just because someone dislikes them, doesn't mean they're trolling, it just means they have a different taste.

Out of the millions of bands out there, I can only think of one band that makes me really yawn:

I agree with a previous poster about "The Edge". He is a strange type of guitarist where he has to rely on a massive, 17 square foot, pedalboard, in order to play.

Wasn't ment to be cute or original it is my opinion. I just listened to something from each of the bands you had listed and wasn't inspired by any of them in the least. This is not about you in any way just those bands. Most of them I could hardly get through 1 song without losing interest.

Hmmm, see i don't understand this he doesn't need all that. He could play a great gig with an AC30 + EH Memory Man and nothing else which is what he used during U2's early years.

I don't see anything strange about it
