I got this idea a ways back from some other forum while researching something.

this will be a place to pay it forward (freebies)

[ Terms and conditions of pay it forward ]

Please only take items you will use, no hording for the sake of free!

please do not take an item to turn around and sell on ebay! that is not in the spirit of the thread.

If you take an item and end up not using it, please just put it back up for grabs.

This is only for guitar related items! no sewing machines, cheese graters or things of that sort.

Services are welcome! only if you trust said member and proper precautions are taken to ensure safety! for example, if Ceri offered to do a free fret dress

If you are not Old enough to give out an address for mailing, please get parental approval first! also use common sense and do not post your address publicly! use a private message :?

Do not Post phone numbers! (again falls under common sense)

Nothing is for sale! if its not free do not post it! this is about giving to the community :D

Do not mark shipping up to make a quick buck! (again not in the spirit of the thread )

Free shipping is always welcome

if you have any additional ideas for more terms please post them

first thing i have is this SX maple/maple floyd prep neck that I dug out of the closet. I have no idea how I wound up with this neck. but instead of tossing it I figured I would pass it along to someone that needs one. so if you have a bum neck or just want a refinish project its yours. if you pay shipping that is

the frets appear to have zero wear but there are some funky chips taken out at the heel
( it looks like it may have been a hammer for a short time)

If you want it, pm me with an address and I will get you a shipping quote and its yours.

Huh? [Cough, splutter, choke.]

Well, maybe. But the guy has to come round and be mighty friendly and entertaining, and a nice bottle of something or other wouldn't hurt either. "Free" is a relative concept. :D

That's Missus C's frothy iced coffee you see in the glass in the photo.

It's a bonny life if you don't weaken... 8)

Cheers - C

PS: uh, credit is due. Mr The_Nutter gave me the Kill Bono T-shirt, ladies and gentlemen. And by the way, Nutter, I would never go looking but Mrs C stumbled over Snow Leopard vodka in the supermarket and couldn't help noticing how amazingly much it costs. Shazzam! My, that was an expensive gesture. Noted: thank you kindly.

You caught my post edit?

I guess in the spirit of this thread I now owe you something "free". Huh. Have to get thinking on that...

I did now! Heehee--- you're very welcome, and you don't owe me anything. A home of the Snow Leopards needs fitting booze, and it was on offer, so don't beat yourself up about it. 8) But tell me truly: Is it any good? I clearly bought it because of the label. It looked so hyped I wouldn't be at all surprised if the content was actually a bit shite.

As for the T-shirt: It has a tradition of being passed on from one con-Bono to the next; so far you are the fourth in the chain of events spanning two different countries. Depending on you, its voyage may perhaps continue. It is your choice and yours alone. :)

Now we know who is the "godfather" behind all the orginiest crimes in Fender Forum city.

I like a guy who observes no boundaries when in pursuit of a joke.ha Looks like you really are in your garden. That curly-que trunk on the little bush is interesting. Thanks for the shout out and a big hi-lo to you. (We use copious numbers of hyphens in Amarica.) Cheers. Goober To Go

Hey GTG: I really am in my garden, yes. Regarding the shrubs, as we know, any fool can grow a topiary lollypop-on-a-stick, but it takes a special secret ingredient to grow a ball on a spring. Those stems don't get that way by chance, it's years of work. And the secret is... booze.

Yes indeed, alcohol is the key to this stunt gardening. I water them only with neat vodka - those shrubs are permanently drunk. They can't tell up from down they're so sauced:

Image

Mind you, we mustn't go overboard. My hot gardening tip (here on the Fender Guitar Forum) is that there is no sense in using the finest vodka on your hardy perennials - they simply don't appreciate the difference. No, we save the premium product for the cats:

Image

Alcoholic topiary... Have we strayed slightly from the topic?

Pay It Forward Thread

OK, for what it's worth, any Forum user is welcome to drop by my place and I will do them a fret dress, a new bone nut or summat along those lines... for free! Though they must bring a bottle of something nice and be ready to sparkle in their conversation. That's only fair.

No strings attached - so bring those too.

Cheers - C
