Haven't tried that yet gugusfu. Some one here has the answer for you and there have been several threads on this subject so good luck with it. :)

I know how to do it, but have never been able to do so.

Everytime I've tried, I've just got a line of text to say that avatars are disallowed.

I don't even get an error message or something is just finish uploading the picture and get upload picture, as if I had done anything!

I managed to work out how to do it-you go to "Edit Profile", and then "upload image" underneath "Your Photo".
