The trippy stuff enticed me to Google Don Carlo Gesualdo. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlo_Gesualdo It's a fascinating story -- he was a nobleman, lutist, and composer who murdered his wife and her back door man in 1590 and left their bloody bodies on the curb of his castle. Quite a notorious scandal back in the day.

I don't know what that has to do with gem-infused strings or whatever. They'd be very abrasive and act like sandpaper against the frets. :lol:

(And this may actually be a case of someone being off his meds, not someone using drugs recreationally.)
