If it were my guitar I'd have somebody up against the wall and put the fear of God in them. You never, ever touch another mans Harley, guitar or woman. This makes my blood boil!

At our Sat. night gig there were several big bikers there with their ladies...a couple of times I looked out to see the biggest one with TWO girls under his arms dancin' away....you're right...you would have to be crazy to touch one of their bikes or girls!
I'm just glad they like us!

Reb...don't sweat those guys, they know good music and cool guys when they see em

As for the messing with your stuff part...this is why a good azzwhipping should still be on the books for parents...kids (and people in general) need to know where the boundaries are and my guess is the azzclown who did that never once got one so he could learn.

Thanks for the support guys,it means a lot right now. I'm trying to maintain my cool, but if I don't get any satisfactory results I'm afraid the bad old me is going to show up. My realtor is going to contact the other agent in question. My realtor e-mailed my wife and told her that what was done was totally inappropriate. I'm already thinking about things I can do if the other realtor tries to blow this off.

Anyone else ever deal with this kind of thing?

I'm thinking about a local TV station that just loves stories like this, letters to the newspapers, that kind of thing if they don't do me right. But really I would rather it didn't come to that. I'm looking for someone to take responsibility and give me assurances that this never happens again.

Would I like to punch somebody in the face? Heck yeah, but I'd probably break my hand and wouldn't be able to play for a while  .

Don't use a straight punch unless your aiming for the throat. Hammer fist or forearm is the way to go.

Right now, you may have a pretty good tort case where you are the aggrieved plaintiff.

Do not let it become a criminal case where you yourself are the defendant.

Just sayin......

Yeah I hear ya Arjay, it's not worth having a criminal record over. Waiting to hear from our realtor in about 20 mins. curious to see what she has to report.

Since you have relatives, and good friends close by, couldn't you just store your equipment with them? I remember one time our home was for sale, I came home from work and the back door was left wide open and all the lights in the house were on. That was over 20yrs ago and I'm still pissed. Aren't real estate agents supposed to call your agent to say who they are and get the lockbox #, plus sign a ledger in the home when they come? It's a chore, but don't leave anything of value in your home when it's on the market. The home will look less cluttered and larger which is a sales plus anyway.

Unfortunately, a great number of real estate agents are completely clueless as to the product they are selling, to them it is just a transaction.
If any one doubts this ask a few agents to describe their products, how they were built and where does that product fit in the style and time period....They will not be able to answer....

As a contractor, having had plenty of experience with realtors in home repairs, renovations and remodeling, as well as renting our house by the week and selling and purchasing, I can honestly say that realtors are not well informed.

On the other hand since your house is on the market, you must expect the worst when agents are showing the house. Your equipment should be in an inacessible locked room and your agent has to be present on site at any showing...That last part I don't quite understand...It is the seller's agent's responsibility to be certain the visitors do not make themselves at home. If they wish to then they can simply purchase the home first.... When we rented our house, everything of personal value was either locked away in the storage eaves or removed from the premises. Even at $3,000 per week rental we did not trust anyone to treat our valuables as precious....It just doesn't happen, sadly many are unconcerned with other person's properties.
Why wasn't your agent present... :?: Regardless of family connections, I would discuss the parameters so that the next time it is crystal clear as to what is expected.

I don't understand why you have to spell out what and what not a Realtor can touch!
They are selling the House and Land, not the personal possessions.

I would feel really angry about something like that happening to my house and possessions. Not much difference than a burglary other than nothing was taken.

Fire the Realtor.
