I thought I would mention this for the folks who are ABB fans,Gregg has a book called "My Cross To Bear",that has just been released,it's interesting,he tells the stories like he was sitting there with you, starting with his early years.
He mentions my hometown of White Bluff,TN,as where his father and the Allman family were from, and Vanleer TN.,where I knew his grandfather's home was.
Lots of stories about Duane!

Ah-ha, hadn't heard about that. Great heads-up, thanks! :D

Yesterday, Gregg was on a radio show I listen to, Mark and Brian. He was supposed to be promoting the book, but the interview didn't go well. I half blame M & B for giving up too soon, but Gregg seemed out of it and not focused. Most of his answers consisted of a chuckle and one or two short sentences. Hopefully, the book is a little more explicit.

Gregg was on Conan last night, pretty much the same thing. Conan was really trying to give him a chance, lots of insightful questions about Gregg and Duane (Conan was obviously a fan), but nothing. Gregg just never looked comfortable in that chair.

He's got some serious health issues and promoting his book
seems to be taking it's toll on him even more.

Great book though. Interesting about the "Cher" days.

Yeah,he's been traveling around to book signings and was in Nashville last week,I didn't make there,... but he never has been one to be a big talker, and a few words from him are pretty much all you'll get.
He looks really weak and frail...a liver transplant is a big deal...he's fortunate to still be around.

He had a liver transplant. Hep C from tattoo needles probably,
or whatever, take your pick.
He's breaking the "half your age plus 7" rule. No fool like an old fool.

She has no idea what she's signing up for!
