Yesterday for my 30min step machine workout, I had 'Los Straitjackets in Concert' DVD playing http://tinyurl.com/cep557z. I didn't get the chance to watch all of it, but later I decided to play it again, so I pulled out my '66 Jazzmaster, tweaked a amp preset in Mustang I and played along with the concert. I really had fun!

When I had pull out the 'Los Straitjackets' DVD, I saw my 'Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble - Live From Austin, Texas' DVD http://tinyurl.com/7afm2ka.

I just had put new strings on my '72 Strat, which I keep tuned to Eb, so I put in the SRV DVD, and decided to torture myself by playing along with SRV. It wasn't too bad, and I again had fun.

At the very end of footage, there is a tribute video done with SRV playing 'Little Wing', in the college of pictures, there is a picture of Jimi burning his guitar at Monterey. I have the 'Jimi Hendrix: Live at Monterey' DVD http://tinyurl.com/7f2qz3f, so I put that on and played along.

The EXP show was only about 45mins, and after playing along with the other concerts, I had been playing for almost 3hrs! Since moving I really hadn't had the time to sit and play this long. I used to do this all the time, and need to build my calluses back up.

Really, I'm getting ready for this Sun's Dayton Blues' blues jam :).

We played every weekend for about ten years, this included two rehearsals a week and I still played guitar when we weren't playing because I was writing songs.

Tony, next time throw on the Cream Reunion and work on all those bends and vibrato, that should help turn those blisters into calluses!

I have it and was thinking about playing it tonight, but I also put new strings on my Epi Dot 335 and have Freddie King: Dallas, Texas Jan. 20th 1973 http://tinyurl.com/87n9nhv on tap for tonight's practice.

You're a maniac Mr. B!... the kind of maniac that inspires me.
I managed to squeeze in 4 hours myself today. Took the first half of the day off when my long-time guitar buddy that I've known since '76 showed up at 8:30am.
We jammed 'til 12:30. (just getting started too).

Rock on Bruthah! 8)

Yelp, I didn't make it to the blues jam, ever since I moved back here to Dayton, my allergies have been terrible, and today has been a real butt kicker. I had ran out of meds, & the OTC stuff took over an hour to kick-in, by that time my throat was raw from sneezing and hackin', so I couldn't do any vocals.

I know that if one can sing and play guitar, than most times you'll led the jam, this is what I do when I go to a blues jam. This way everyone has to do songs you know.

I just checked the Dayton Blues Society's site and there were pictures posted from the last jam. I'm in these, and a few more http://www.soundchasm.com/dbs-apr12/dsc_0853.html, http://www.soundchasm.com/dbs-apr12/dsc_0865.html.
