Point well taken.

This could be an example of a reason for some former members to leave. Most Forums don't have a fatal feature but the Fender Lounge Forum certainly does. When I read jeebus post, listed above, I thought that I would die laughing  .
Every once in awhile one of you savant Forum Brothers writes a post or posts something that is so disarmingly funny that responses from, nasal/beverage eruptions to, petite mal seizures of one sort or another occur.. I myself have worried a little when I couldn't stop laughing for a longer time than usual   .
Riley, I too have wondered what happened to some former members, most of the ones from the Forum's early years, but have stayed with those who did as well. You are the ones that could communicate with me and that is why I'm here.
Nevin was last heard of in the pacific northwest rallying the great logging community to another banner year for the "wood" industry. Hopefully he'll return with some Paul Bunyan sized tales from that rugged territory.

Stay away from my daughter...that applies ten years from now, too. I don't want her to go through the heartache of marrying a musician, like her mother did.

I was surprised that Way Cool Jr. was able to quit cold turkey. I didn't think he could do it considering how much he posted.

In the past few years, i've seen a lot of things. First, there are a lot of guys who genuinely care about others and really go out of their way to help. Second, there have been a LOT of @##$%&*# that have come, alienated newbies, who never returned, and drove off a lot of good people who just couldn't tolerate their behavior.

It seems the total posts have dropped off a lot earlier and more than in the past. I have every confidence that things will pick back up. At least i hope so. I know how much i got out of the Forums and would like to think others will too.

I remember the thread that made way cool leave. After that, he PM'd me saying his was leaving, and then made the topic. I'm almost certain I've seen him post every now and again since, just not as regularly. Nevin comes and goes every few months, the way it's always been it would seem. There was the Irish dude, can't for the life of me remember his username, he just abruptly stopped posting, must have been over a year ago by now.

Hell I'm amazed I'm even still around, I've left once or twice, but always returned, usually out of sheer boredom

Keep in mind too that the board went through changes at one point. I used to post as shredd6, but that account was lost during the changes and I couldn't figure out how to get it back (I'm one of those computer illiterate type musicians). So I created a new account as Jah Soldier. I can't help but wonder if some decided to just let things go during that time.

Howdy!

I haven't seen Cherokee Mike post anything for a while...

Hope he's OK.

The key to sticking around is not to spend too much time here as you may become rather sick and tired of it :D

I'm here 2.5 years and only have a few posts....now that being said, another forum has over 10,000 posts from my fingertips.

Ug...I need a life, or another guitar!!!

Every time I see this thread I think of musicians who are also amputees, "missing (body) members..."

Yeah, I know I'm sick. I don't apologize.

I'm a "that Irish dude" too ...
I think you're thinking of Celtic Cyclonus. I'm pretty sure he works in a vintage guitar shop these days.
