Sure--the thread gets resurrected and I'm scanning through it--I see one list--and think that's a cool list--then I realize it's mine... :D

Maybe we should start a topic of "list 10 albums that the 1001 albums you need to listen to before you die left out".
Suprisingly enough, the 10 albums I would have on an island weren't even listed.
Here's my list of 10:
America - View From The Ground
John Cougar - American Fool
Buddy Holly - Buddy Holly
The Kinks - State Of Confusion
Loverboy - Get Lucky
Coco Montoya - Suspicion
REO Speedwagon - Hi Infidelity
Patty Smyth - Never Enough
Rick Springfield - Success Hasn't Spoiled Me Yet
Henry Lee Summer - Slamdunk

My problem is that it would take me an eternity to figure out which 10 to take. I'll say this however, there are two albums which would always make any list I created:

* John Coltrane - A Love Supreme
* Pat Metheny - Question And Answer

Often those sort of lists are pretentious, and intended to show how "cool" the author is. Read them for fun, but don't give them too much weight.
