I don't have the Velocity, but I do have a 1996 G1000 and a current LG P90 (as well as a Seagull acoustic....Godin is the mother company). These are very well made guitars at a very afordable price. Great necks, very comfortable to play. They stay in tune and sound great.

I am pro-Godin.

Thanks. I had a Seagull and I loved that guitar!

I spent a couple hours playing accoustics at GC one day and a Seagull stood out. In fact I hung it up while I played some others and went back to give it a third round and someone had it at the cashier to buy it. I wasn't sure why, but it felt and sounded good. Don't know about the Velocity though.

The reason I ask is because I have a chance to trade my Deluxe Roadhouse for a Velocity. I think I'm gonna do it providing it plays well. It's a $300 upgrade and all the reviews look good.

BTW, it's a straight up trade.

Howdy!

I'm not crazy about the shape of the Velocity, which has put me off trying one out, but if its built and plays any where near as good as the other Godins I've played, you'll probably be a happy bunny.

The HDR (High Definition Revoicer) sounds like a cool feature too. If you do the swap I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts on that.

FWIW: I'm a big Godin fan and own an Exit 22..

... And an XTSA..

They're awesome guitars! :D

Cheers!
