I've been experimenting with this weird fingerpicking thing my friend and I have always done. We use nothing but both E strings and just kind of jam away. The fat E is kind of a bassey thing and the little E serves as a melody machine. It only works clean and does well with reverb. Getting down to business, how we do things when we do is by using the thumb to strike the fat E in a downward motion, then using the index in an upward motion to strike the little E. It's almost like playing bass, only it isn't playing bass. It gives a nice spacey/ambient/calming/melodic sound when done correctly. Granted, it has its limitations, but it's a very fun and simple playing style that most people can adapt to. I don't have any recordings of it, but it's on my list.

Enjoy and experiment.

It's a good reason to crank reverb.

I'm not even going to give you the long, thought out, response I had for yet another one of your sarcastic remarks. Here's a kitten.

I dono, but usually people think it's lame outside of my circle of friends. We didn't really think it was conventional fingerpicking, considering it sounds terrible sped up.
