hi all , been a bit busy the last week or so but today i picked up a T.rex Moller pedal , as always it was cheap  got it home and plugged it into the jcm800 (in a hendrix mood) and did some fiddling , , very nice indeed , for playing later Hendrix tunes when he didn't rely on the fuzz face in the studio , need to mess about with it some more though 8) but more than happy with owning a t rex  , and heres a few pics for the lovers of gear

You have the beginnings of a rightful Hendrix setup there Alan, the T. Rex looks cool and with all these controls you should be able to tweak and fine tune it to get any authentic Hendrix tone from clean boost to wild overdrive. When you are in the market for a Uni-Vibe type pedal I suggest that you give the Tech21 NYC RotoChoir a go,the way it emulates the Leslies and Uni-Vibes is uncanny as it captures every nuance of both once you get used to the parameters of it. You can see great demos on their website: http://www.tech21nyc.com/ they are a bit pricey-about $220 US but a complete Univibe setup with the foot controller would cost you even more than that.

hi guitslinger , the moller is a very versatile pedal and as you say it could nail just about any hendrix sound np probs , it had a good workout last night  and cheers for the headsup on the tech 21 pedal , it sounds great 8) in the shops over hear it costs about the same in pounds £230 , on par with the full tone pedals , T.rex also make one , i need to check that out and see how it sounds 8) , right now i'm using an old marshall vibratrem pedal , it's ok sounding but you can't get that swirling swishing sound (bummer) , i also checked out the danelectro vibe pedal on you tube , sounds good for the price , i might pick one up in the next few weeks and give it a go 8) cheers
Alan

Hi Alan,Re the Danelectro vibe:They make a few different vibes in their different product lines but I found the Cool Cat Vibe to be about the best of the lot.The Cool Cat model lineup only costs about $50 - $60 here-that's a good price for such great pedals as their chorus, tremolo and Transparent Overdrive (especially the first run model) are exceptional pedals.

The Chorus can give you anything from an almost undetectable vibe sound to a full on warble-great for Jimi stuff if you don't have a Leslie or Uni-Vibe and still only about $60 CDN.

The Tremolo can go from slow and subtle to a throbbing thump like Johnny Marr of The Smiths got on "How Soon Is Now?".

The Transparent Overdrive (the first run) is visually different than the second run because of the number 1 under the name decal,or close to it.You're most likely to find the first run pedals in pawn shops or stores that sell used gear because Danelectro was made to cease and desist producing them because their innards were perfect clones of the very desireable Timmy's Overdrive.Even though the first run of Overdrives are the better ones ,the other ones are great also as they have two way slider switches in the battery compartment that helps you tailor your sound to the settings that you like best.
So that's a short overview of these pedals, they are all well above the quality of most of the others in their price range and their metal casing is very heavy and almost bulletproof too.
