Hey forum this is my first NGD post here!

The other day, two of my friends and I were talking about guitars; I bring up the topic of Jazz Bass Guitars. Here is how the conversation went....

Friend One - "Ughh I have a Jazz Bass V, I hate it"
Me - "Really? What's so bad about it?"
Friend One - "Just the shape and everything, not really my type. Do you want it?"
Me - "SURE!!! But I would hate not giving you anything for it!"
Friend One - *Turns to friend 2* "Hey how much money do I owe you?"
Friend Two - "Eh. About 15 bucks"
Friend One - "15 sounds fair, lol"
Me - "DEAL!"

A couple days later and viola! I have a MIM Five String Jazz Bass! (Serial# - MN9368446)

The guitar has one broken string and a little chip in the body. Other than that, it looks alright. I'm definitely going to change the Vol/Tone pots, they are only 250K. I'll probably swap them for 500K or 1Meg. If I have the money, maybe the pickups. Anyway, I'm still psyched! Best $15 ever spent.

I would say that's a deal! Hell, I've probably spent $15 this week on coffee. Looks pretty sharp as well. Have fun with it!

I just got a free pizza from Papa John's. You can't eat a bass. I won't starve to death! Haha!

Well, actually, that's amazing. You could make some serious profit on that, if you wanted. Great find. Sort of like me with a $500 computer and $100 monitor scored for $45 a few weeks ago

Cool man... That beats the $25 MIM 4 string Jazz bass I picked up a couple of years ago. Looks the same but you have one more string. Are you Irish?

Wow,what a deal too hook into, the Jazz,Mustang and Jaguar basses are the only ones from Fender that I can play since my hands are small. The Jazz Bass has a great sound and I prefer it way over the P Bass in that area too,so you got probably the bargain of a lifetime and I' m sure that you'll never regret that purchase.Enjoy your new toy.

Thanks guys! So far, I love it! :D I just realized it has Gotoh tuners, they aren't standard are they? Are they any better than the standard tuning heads?
