The line signal from one amp to an instrument input on the other could be a dangerous undertaking. Line signals are stronger than instrument signals and you could burn some circuitry.
It would be better to run a "Y" connector from your guitar or pedals to both amps and set the amps to the different outputs, i. e., clean on one, drive on the other.
(Im' trying to not say a word because of your doing something stupid, but i'd hate to not give you a fair warning and have you ruin some hard-earned equipment) 8)
