Congrats on buying what is no doubt the most versatile Les Paul Gibson ever made.The Trad-Pro with its coil tap function really opens up way more sonic possibilities and it also almost fully negates the need to bring both single coil and humbucker equipped guitars. I have the Epi LP Trad Pro and the first time I plugged it into a Blues Jr. I was amazed how much the pups sounded like PAFs-the tones from it were identical to those that Robert Fripp got from his PAF LP on songs like Epitaph and I Talk To The Wind on the first King Crimson album and I would imagine that you are no doubt having similar findings.

The single coil settings I find are more like a cross between a Jag and a Mustang rather than being Strat like.Either way you have the cream of the crop when it comes to Les Pauls-Enjoy!!

Thanks GS. With the bridge PU split, it is Tele-like. Played the intro to Dwight Yoakum's-Guitars, Cadillacs, and it was really close. Anyway, I'm thoroughly enjoying her, but I think I'll still bring two guitars when I go out. Ain't no way a LP is gonna replace a Strat, or vice-versa!
