Just launched this morning: new Fender Pawn Shop models. Introducing the Jaguarillo, Offset Special, and Reverse Jaguar Bass ... and a new finish offering for the Mustang Special as well! What do you think of the new lineup? In our humble opinion, there are no benchwarmers in this batch ...

I'm liking that Jaguarillo... I've been considering a CP Jaguar Special (SS config) but now I'm reconsidering. The Jaguarillo has that sorta "out there" surf kinda look with the angled pickups. The CAR looks great but a blue flake finish would've really been interesting..

At first blush, I thought "finally a lefty" - but no, just a reversed righty. Are you guys ever going to make a lefty in one of these special lines?

Oh man am I loving that Reverse Jaguar Bass, and in Medium scale, I might even want to step away from my short scales for one of those. Anyone want to buy a '78 Fender Musicmaster so I can raise some cash...?

Just kidding by the way, no way I could let that one go and I know it's against the rules here!

Well, they're MSRP of $1079 so no way I'll be owning one of those. :(

Hey Brad,
I noticed the sunburst Mustang Special has truss rod access at the headstock, unlike the previous models. Will the LPB and CAR Mustang Specials be updated similarly?

Thanks,
Dave

Kudos to Fender on the Offset Special! I've always wondered why no one ever built a 6-string guitar in the shape of a Jazz Bass. It's arguably Leo Fender's most graceful body design ever. But while our bassists got all the girls (or boys), we 6-stringers had to settle for JM's and Jags that look amputated by comparison, or for Mustangs that look squeezed.

I'd expected some boutique builder to steal the JB shape long ago. So hats off to Fender for beating them to it -- even if it took you 52 years. I look forward to playing one.

I love the maple fretboard. Now just drop that awful pink color, and offer it in a nice 3-color vintage sunburst. Other variants that I'd like to see: 3x P-90 pickup layout, satin neck finish, a 22nd fret, all-solid body, and Strat-style tremolo tailpiece. Other folks might want a hardtail option.

Amazing!

I need to try an Offset STAT, that think looks sick. Im guessing these are all made in Japan? Yet another bonus.

Its cool how Fender is experimenting with new body shapes lately, like the Jaguarillo, Offset and Marauder. You guys are doing good things.

The bass is awesome..

but.. red, black and 2t burst.. c'mon!! You're offering the rest in pale sonic blue and pink.. that bass would be KILLER in pink or blue with the mint guard and maple neck.
